Charlamagne Just Told Women Of Color To Be More Like Racist Tomi Lahren

This is Trump's America.

If you haven’t yet heard of Tomi Lahren, then lucky you. She’s the current hot blonde racist everyone is talking about. After embarrassing herself on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, she canceled a planned appearance on Charlamagne’s morning show. He still went out of his way to talk to her, and discussed it on The Breakfast Club, saying, “I don’t know if she’s going to change or not, I just know I did my due diligence and had that conversation with her.”

Charlamagne is catching a lot of heat for indulging yet another racist looking for her fifteen minutes of fame, and he took to Twitter like celebrities do to defend Tom Lahren even more. In a series of Tweets he wrote that Lahren is working social media like a fiend to expand her platform and asks why black activists aren’t. Even though they are. A lot. He writes, “Would be dope if a young black or Hispanic liberal used social media to create a Platform to be a voice like Tomi Lahren did,” and “Would be dope if a young black or Hispanic "WOKE" woman used social media to create a Platform to be a voice like Tomi Lahren did, “ and “Moral of the story one of you "Woke" YOUNG minority liberals need to create a platform on social media to be a voice like Tomi.”

Hard to know where to start. First of all, why is “woke” in quotations? Can you not be aware of oppression and institutional racism unless you have 50 thousand followers? Also, Lahren is popular because racism is popular. We just elected Donald Trump as president of the United States! If people loves to hear about how America needs to change and become more diverse and accepting and end police brutality, we’d have solved a lot of issues by now.

While it’s admirable, and very hard,  to try and talk to someone you disagree with in a respectful way, it’s coming off like Charlamagne got his mind changed by Tomi Lahren, not the other way around.
