DMX Hospitalized After Being Found "Lifeless, With No Pulse"
The rapper was transported to the hospital after collapsing outside of his hotel room.
DMX almost died Monday night. He was found lifeless outside his hotel room at the Ramada Yonkers in New York. Says TMZ: "We're told when cops arrived DMX was on the ground in the parking lot next to a parked car. Cops quickly determined he was lifeless, not breathing with no pulse and immediately began CPR." DMX—real name Earl Simmons—is still in the hospital, but he's in stable condition now.
The cause of DMX's collapse is not certain. TMZ cited a witness that said he "ingested some sort of powder before lapsing into unconsciousness" and the cops gave him Narcan, which is used as an emergency treatment for overdoses. But DMX's family says he suffered a sudden asthma attack and DMX himself, according to TMZ, said he's been battling bronchitis. We're just happy he's alive.
