Finally! The Trailer For Tupac's 'All Eyez On Me' Biopic Is Out

And it arrived on his birthday, June 16th. Perfect.

Ask and ye shall receive. Rap fans have been waiting for a Tupac biopic for ages, and that dream is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality. Today would have been Tupac's 45th birthday, and in celebration the trailer for his highly anticipated biopic - All Eyez On Me - has been released online.

The film stars Danai Gurira (of Walking Dead fame) as Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, and newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr as the icon himself. In the short teaser, we see glimpses of a young Tupac witnessing an FBI raid, police brutality taking place on the street, and lavish Hollywood parties full of money and excess.

"This ain't just about you," Gurira says in an impassioned voiceover. "Like all black men, you have a bullseye on your back. They are going to give you the tools that you need to destroy yourself. So above all else, to thine own self be true. Now, let me see your spirit."

For a short trailer, it packs quite a punch, so be sure to check it out below. Though a final release date for the film has yet to be set, it's expected to hit theaters this November, Vibe reports.
