Janet Jackson found herself feeling overwhelmed during a concert in Houston on Saturday.
E! News reports that the singer was putting on her second show on the revived State of the World tour when she began to get emotional on stage. Jackson had just finished tearfully performing "What About" when she covered her face with her hand and began to sob.
"This is me," she said later, struggling to speak.
Jackson reportedly had a similar reaction to performing the song during her tour stop in Louisiana the day before. Jackson, who gave birth to son Eissa earlier this year, is currently in the process of divorcing her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana, to whom she was married for five years.
With lyrics like "What about the times you hit my face?" and "What about the times I cried? You wouldn't even hold me," "What About" is clearly a song about domestic violence, and is a recent addition to Janet's set list.
