Snoop Dogg's New Album Was Inspired By Beyoncé’s 'Lemonade'
It's called Coolaid.
Beyonce's Lemonade has inspired Snoop Dogg. The visual album about heartbreak and redemption has given the rapper some tea for his new musical project.
"I watched Lemonade and was like, ‘Damn.’ The music is dope, and the visuals are fly as f*ck," he tells Rolling Stone. "But I don't drink lemonade; I drink Kool-Aid."
This realization inspired Snoop for his latest album, which was released in July. He explains, “So I decided to call my s*it Coolaid, since I brought so much flavor to the game, and I'm what they consider one of the coolest motherf*ckers in hip-hop and life in general. I made a visual album too."
The coolest is prepping for his new unscripted show, Martha & Snoop's Dinner Party, with home maven Martha Stewart.
Did Martha light up with the weed aficionado on the set? "I'll tell you on the show,” he says. The show will feature guests like rappers Remy Ma and Papoose, actor Seth Rogen and DJ Khaled. The show premieres on VH1 this fall.
