Soulja Boy Dropped All The Artists From His Label, Drama Ensued
Um, some of the threats got violent.
Soulja Boy always has a suprise up his sleeve. First, there was the "400 million dollar" deal with a gaming site that turned out to be really worth about 50 million-if that. And now, there's this: he's dropping every artist from his independent music label.
"There's no artist signed to SODMG," he tweeted. "I dropped them all. I'm starting off the roster new and clean for 2016."
SODMG, or Stacks On Deck Money Gang, was created in 2004 and has previously been the home of profitable independent artists like Lil B and Riff Raff. The majority of his current artists, however, are unknown. Speculation heightened after the following tweet. "God is great," he wrote. "So thankful for the blessings. And thanks for blessing me to see the snakes and remove them from my life. Needed that," he continued.
In Twitter fashion, one of the alleged "snakes" apparently felt some type of way about the sneak diss and retaliated.
AGoff, one of Soulja Boys' former artists, tweeted a photo of himself, covering his face with money, accompanied by the caption "Nomore SODMG," and retweeted a few tweets about him being better off alone. It seemed pretty harmless, really.
But then, drama ensued. Soulja Boy caught wind of a few of the tweets and sent out some rather anger-filled threats. Wisely, he ended up deleting the tweets... but screenshots, bro.
But apparently the feelings weren't mutual.
Welp! Can't we all just get along?
