According to a newly filed notice of appeal, Lori Vallow Daybell is challenging the judge's assertion that deemed her competent to stand trial in the murders of her 7-year-old son Joshua “J.J.” Vallow and 16-year-old daughter, Tylee Ryan.
Lori Vallow Daybell was convicted in May for the murders of her kids, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “J.J.” Vallow, and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her husband’s former wife, Tammy Daybell.
Lori Vallow Daybell and her deceased brother Alex Cox allegedly agreed that "at least one of them or another would engage in conduct constituting the offense of first-degree premeditated murder" of Brandon Boudreaux in 2019.
The jury took less than two days to find Vallow Daybell guilty of murdering her two children, Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow, as well as her current husband's former wife, Tammy Daybell.
