"Florida Man Murders” — Two Night Series Premiere on Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10 at 7/6c
This series from Blumhouse Television zeroes in on America’s most notorious and outrageous killers from the Sunshine State. Often referenced as “Florida Man” in headlines, these killers commit bizarre and outlandish crimes that captivate the nation and sometimes feel as though they are straight out of a Hollywood movie. With the aid of Florida investigators and prosecutors, the series unravels the cases’ strange twists and examines what drove these killers to commit attention grabbing murders brutal enough to mistake for fiction. The premiere episode follows the case of Michael and Susan “Missy” MacIvor, a newlywed couple found brutally murdered in their home after a tropical storm rips through Tavernier in the Florida Keys.
“An Unexpected Killer” — Season 2 Premiere on Friday, January 15 at 8/7c
In the season two premiere, a successful TV producer and mother of one is found shot dead in her upscale home. Suspicion falls on her soon-to-be-ex-husband, but his airtight alibi leads detectives to question other potential suspects. Just when the tenacious detectives believe they have a break in the case, they’re faced with a shocking and unforeseen surprise in a truly twisted investigation.
“Framed By The Killer” — Series Premiere on Friday, January 15 at 9/8c
From Executive Producer Ice-T, this limited series unravels tales of elaborate whodunnit murder mysteries that lead police to one suspect, only to discover later their suspect was framed by the actual killer. As each episode explores a unique case, viewers embark on a twisted journey riddled with clues that ultimately reveal nothing is what it seems. In the premiere episode, a successful entrepreneur is found dead on the side of the road. When unexpected clues are found during the autopsy, investigators uncover a devious sex cult and are drawn into the religion of Santeria, ultimately revealing a killer no one ever suspected.
“Monster Preacher” —Two-Hour Special on Saturday, January 16 at 7/6c
“Monster Preacher” takes a deep dive into the life of Gary Heidnik, a pastor in Philadelphia who brought the darkest of nightmares to life when he lured and confined six women as captives in his basement. In November 1986, Heidnik brutalized these women for four months as he chained, tortured, raped, and even killed in his effort to create a colony of sex slaves to have his offspring. With exclusive access to two of the four surviving victims, Josefina Rivera and Jackie Askin, along with expert interviews from those closest to the case, the two-hour special takes viewers on a chilling ride through Philadelphia’s most frightening horror story and sheds light on the racial and social dynamics that affected both Heidnik’s motivation and the police investigation. The two survivors meet in person for the first time since their release from Heidnik’s “Horror House” to recount their experiences, the abuse they endured and share how they were ultimately able to survive and move forward with their lives over three decades later.
“One Deadly Mistake” — Series Premiere on Saturday, January 16 at 9/8c
Each episode of “One Deadly Mistake” follows a homicide investigation where police work tirelessly against the clock to solve a complex case, until they discover a piece of evidence left behind that exposes the identity of the calculated killer. In the premiere episode, Kathy Blair, a well-known and beloved member of the Austin, TX community, is found brutally murdered in her own home on a chilly afternoon in December 2014. As investigators process the puzzling crime scene, the clues point in several different directions. They are convinced they’re on the hunt for a meticulous killer who has gone to great lengths to cover his tracks. But when an elderly couple in the same neighborhood is also found dead a week later, detectives work fast and furiously to track down the killer as the community awaits in fear for answers. One by one, as suspects are interviewed and evidence is tested, detectives begin to hone in on their killer when a surprising piece of evidence is discovered exposing the killer's careless, one deadly mistake.
“Exhumed” — Series Premiere on Sunday, January 17 at 7/6c
From Executive Producers Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, “Exhumed” examines gripping murder cases in which unearthing a victim’s body is the key to solving the twisted crimes. Each episode features a suspenseful exhumation that has led to shocking new breakthroughs, unexpected plot-twists, and ultimately, justice being served. The premiere episode follows the case of Diana Kelley who was found dead in Joplin, MO. Investigators initially suspected foul play, but years later a strange coincidence links the death of Diana to another Joplin resident with similar circumstances, bringing hope to investigators that digging up her body will help solve two murders.
