27-Year-Old Model Sparks Controversy By Telling 14-Year-Old 'Stranger Things' Star To Hit Her Up In 4 Years

Is the backlash against the model deserved or are people being too uptight?

A 27-year-old model is being criticized for flirting with a 14-year-old actor from the show Stranger Things. As In Touch Weekly shares, Ali Michael is facing backlash after reaching out to Finn Wolfhard and telling him to reach out to her when he's of legal age. “Not to be weird but hit me up in 4 years @finnwolfhardofficial," she posted on Instagram.

The image can be seen below. It has since been removed from her page.

The actor was asked by TMZ about the encounter and described it to the outlet as "gross."

Many followers were critical of Michael's post, citing that it was inappropriate for her to sexualize a teen boy.

"if finn saying the ali michael thing was gross doesn't make you stop sexualizing him/minors then you're fucked up i'm calling the police," shared on person on Twitter.

Added another, "it doesn’t matter if she’s a super model or not she’s like twice his age he has every right to me creepped out by her telling him to “hit him up in 4 years."

The model did eventually apologize for what she called a joke. As Fox News shares, she issued this apology: "Hi, Yesterday I posted a picture of Mike from Stranger Things and wrote 'Call me in 4 years.' It was completely and absolutely a joke but I understand that people have been offended by it. It was wrong to joke about and I apologise. I do not want Mike from Stranger Things to call me. I hope this clears things up."

In late October, Michael told W Magazine that she likes to joke around on social media and even has two Instagram profiles.
