Tupac Shakur’s legacy lives on. The rapper’s creativity and genius go beyond music and are inspiring a new restaurant in California.
According to Rolling Stone, Tupac sketched ideas for a cookbook and restaurant based called Powamekka Café before his death. On September 13th, these ideas will come to life as a pop-up at Take 3 restaurant at the Fulton Mall in Fresno, California.
Menu items will feature ideas from the rapper’s sketches, which are currently on display at the Grammy Museum, plus original items too. 2dopeboyz has a sneak peek at the menu which includes: a California Love Chicken Sandwich, named after Pac’s hit, Hennessy Apple Butter chicken wings and Thug Passion cake pops, which feature the throwback liquor Alizé in the frosting.
The event, which coincides with the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death, will also feature an art show and local musicians performing covers of their favorite tracks by the rapper.
