T.I. has been having issues with violence breaking out at his shows, beginning with the high profile shooting at a concert in May 2016, perpetrated by rapper Troy Ave. That attack left Troy Ave’s own bodyguard dead, and himself injured.
Now TMZ reports that there was another act of violence at one of his shows. Thankfully, no one was killed, but a 23-year-old bodyguard was apparently taken to the hospital after a concertgoer stabbed him in the calf three times with a shiv.
The attack happened on Monday night in Moncton, New Brunswick. Cops were called at around 1:20 AM and told that the bodyguard was attacked while he guarded a T.I. merch table at the show.
The man was treated for minor injuries and released. While the Troy Ave shooting was a planned attack, this seems to be a more random act. Law enforcement interviewed T.I., but the artist hasn’t given any official statement on the incident, and is reportedly heading back to America now.
