The boyfriend of a New Jersey woman whose headless torso and leg were found floating around New York City has been arrested.
Raphael Lolos, 40, is accused of killing his 31-year-old girlfriend, Jennifer Londono, dismembering her body, and dumping her remains in the Hudson River, according to People. Lolos was arrested Thursday for murder, desecration of human remains, hindering apprehension, credit card fraud and stalking.
Londono was last seen June 25. She is the founder of Luna Lounge, a bar in Englewood, New Jersey.
Her torso from was found by a couple walking their dog in the Red Hook Channel off the coast of Brooklyn, according to The New York Daily News. One of the poeple who found the body part told The New York Post, “The woman wasn’t just murdered — she was butchered. This body was dismembered and the cuts looked clean, like it was chainsawed.”
NYPD released an image of a Sanskrit tattoo on the torso in hopes someone would be able to identify the body. Londono’s mother recognized the tattoo.
A jogger found a leg and foot, with pink-painted toenails, in the Hudson River near Manhattan a few days after the torso was found.
