Cops: Two Women Assault "Uber-Style Taxi Driver" With Knife

They did not want to pay for their ride.

Two Maryland women were arrested after allegedly assaulting an "Uber-style taxi driver."  On Sunday, Jennifer Denise Williams, 32, and Danielle Yanique Ashira, 22 exited the taxi without paying, according to a press release from the Takoma Park Police. The taxi driver stopped at a gas tation and one of the women allegedly held a knife to the victim's neck while they were leaving the car.

A description of the women were given to police and they were located shortly after. 

The two face charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, attempted robbery and theft of services, according to police. The driver is not an Uber employee.
