A Waco, Texas day care owner and her employee have been arrested for alleged physical abuse of kids in their care. According to the Waco Trib, the owner of Miss Pepper's Daycare and an employee were arrested on Thursday on felony abuse charges.

37-year-old Pepper Jones is the day care owner and the employee is 30-year-old Brittany Starr Hale. Authorities began investigating after allegations came on April 4 that children from 10 months old to 2 years old were being mistreated, including being pushed, pulled, struck, and having their hair pulled.

One two-year-old is alleged to have suffered a dislocated shoulder and broken elbow due to the alleged abuse. The boy was taken to the hospital by his mother. There, he reportedly told authorities that Jones was behind the injury. He apparently touched his arm and said, “Pepper, my arm, right here, doctor." He also pointed to his butt and said, "Pepper."

According to arrest affidavits, there is video recording of some of the alleged abuse.

Jones was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of injury to a child and six state-jail felony charges of endangering a child. Hale was arrested on six felony counts of injury to a child. Both were released Friday after posting bond.
