Dean Of Students Hits Cyclist In Hit-And-Run Accident

"I didn't even know I hit him."

A Dean of Students at the University School of Nashville has been charged after hitting a cyclist with his vehicle during a Saturday morning hit-and-run crash.

Marshall Grant Neely III, 58, of Franklin was arrested Saturday evening and charged with felony reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to immediately notify of an accident and failure to render aid, the National Park Service stated in a Facebook post.

Cyclist Tyler Noe suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries from the accident, according to the Tennessean.

“I literally didn't … see this gentleman. I didn't even know I hit him,” Neely told Fox17. He said it’s sorry it happened and that he didn't know he'd hit anyone until he got home and began receiving death threats over the phone.
