A Texas couple that allegedly ran a prostitution ring disguised as a massage parlor were caught after hundreds of condoms clogged up their plumbing, a local NBC affiliate reported.
Austin Police had received several tips that Jade Massage Therapy was a front for prostitution, but on Feb. 7 the company’s landlord asked cops to investigate the place after an industrial waste disposal unit on the property became clogged up with condoms.
Police interviewed men coming out of Jade Massage on separate days in March, and two of them admitted to paying for sexual services, police claimed.
When police finally searched the business, they found several completely naked men inside next to female masseuses.
The husband-wife team of Joseph Emery, 54, and Juan Wang, 49, were arrested on charges of organized criminal activity and money laundering.
Just two days earlier, Wang had been stopped in an airport after security screening found $30,000 in cash in her luggage, which she claimed she needed for a medical procedure in China, police said. She was allowed to take the cash with her on her flight.
Some advice: even if you’re not running an erotic massage parlor, don’t ever flush a condom down the toilet.
