Glee actress Naya Rivera was arrested on domestic battery charges over Thanksgiving weekend. She and her husband, fellow actor Ryan Dorsey, were visiting family with their 2-year-old son in Chesapeake, West Virginia on Saturday when the incident happened.

According to a police press release by the Kanwaha County Sheriff's Office, police were called to a home where Dorsey said Rivera, 30, "struck him in the head and face." According to the sheriff's report, police saw "minor injuries consistent with" Dorsey's statement. Dorsey even showed the responding officer a video of the attack. Rivera was subsequently arrested. On Sunday, she was released from custody.

Rivera and Dorsey married in July 2014, just three months after Rivera’s engagement to rapper Big Sean ended. In November 2016, Rivera filed for divorce but called it off in October 2017.

She told People at an event not long after canceling the divorce: “It is what it is, but I’m glad that my family is together."

A rep for Rivera has not responded to requests for comment. Police wrote in their statement, "As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mrs. Rivera is merely an accusation.  She is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty."

After Rivera’s arrest, Big Sean appeared to make a tweet throwing shade on his ex-fiance.
