An ex-news anchor is accusing actor Kevin Spacey of grabbing her son's genitals. According to the New York Daily News, Heather Unruh said that her 18-year-old son suffered "tremendous anger and anxiety" after being attacked by the actor at a club on Nantucket Island last year. He reportedly went to police in Nantucket last week to fill out a report and hand over what is being undisclosed as "evidence."
"I want to see Kevin Spacey go to jail. I want to see Kevin Spacey have the hand of justice come down on him, not just for my son, but for the many others who have yet to speak their truth," she said. "A criminal investigation has begun."
Unruh said that Spacey is a "sexual predator."
The mom said that following the alleged assault, the Oscar-winning actor asked her son, who is straight and a sophomore in college, to go to a private after-party with him. An unidentified woman apparently noticed the teen was uncomfortable with this and told him to run, which he did.
This new allegation comes on the heels of "Star Trek: Discovery" actor Anthony Rapp accusing Spacey of making sexual advances toward him when he was 14 years old. After Rapp's statements, the 58-year-old Spacey came out of the closet and apologized without giving further details on what happened.
"Shame on you for what you did to my son, and shame on you for using your apology to Anthony Rapp to come out as a gay man," said Unruh. "That was an appalling attempt to deflect attention away from what you really are — a sexual predator. Your actions are criminal."
Following multiple allegations of sexual harassment and assault, Spacey has since been fired from his show, "House of Cards." CNN investigated allegations from employees on the set of the show, and Spacey apparently made the set a "toxic" work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment. Eight people who currently work (or have previously worked) on the show accused Spacey of harassment, while one alleged assault.
