Authorities believe a man in Lakeland, Florida wore baggy blue jeans and stuffed 15 quart-sized bottles of Pennzoil motor oil and 30 Treasure Island DVDs down his pants at a 7-Eleven last week.
According to WFLA, the strange crime was stopped because a Polk County Sheriff's Office detective happened to be outside and saw the shoplifting happen. The man, 38-year-old William Jason Hall, was stopped by PCSO Detective Phil Ryan and told to remove the stolen merchandise.
Hall was arrested on a charge of petit theft. Because this is his third arrest on the charge, it's been turned into a felony.
