A married California teacher is being investigated after allegedly being seen in a Snapchat video with two shirtless minors.
Thirty-two-year-old Samantha Lee Ciotta was reportedly partying with minors while dressed in “a shirt and panties” and drinking alcohol, per NY Daily News. The teacher is already accused of having sex with an underage student and could face added felony charges.
On September 20, Ciotta was arrested and charged with unlawful sex and oral copulation with a minor. She was then released from police custody after posting $150,000 bail.
As Patch reports, a student at Beaumont High School—Ciotta is an English teacher there—shared the incident on Snapchat. When asked if that was "Mrs. Ciotta" in the clip by another, the student apparently said, “Yes … Bro, I’m gettin’ in deep … been f------ (Ciotta) and getting threesomes for the past couple weeks (at her house)."
Apparently, the other student involved admitted that there was additional evidence linking the teacher to the incident, stating, “If [police] have her phone, then they will find out."
Authorities have got a warrant to obtain and search Ciotta’s cell phone as well as the home she shared with her then-husband and two young children. They discovered a “torn-up, hand-written note that mentioned the juvenile victim by name," which appeared to have been written to the husband explaining her relationship. Authorities also found the alleged victim’s school records in her home office.
Ciotta apparently took an interest in the underage boy (as per screenshots sent by his guardian to Patch) as he was failing her English class. He was described as a “disruptive” student and an “incorrigible juvenile.” She asked to participate in a hearing to discuss his "individualized education plan," per sources. They are believed to have met in her English class in 2015.
On October 4, Ciotta’s husband filed for divorce. He was granted temporary sole custody of their two children.
