All four members of Polish death metal band Decapitated have been accused of kidnappinga woman in the bathroom of their tour bus after an August concert in Spokane, Washington.
According to court documents obtained by The Spokesman-Review, one of the women alleges she was gang-raped. The documents say two women told police that the band members invited them to have drinks on the tour bus after the show. One of the two women "described being excited to be on the bus" before one of the band members began grabbing her breasts. That band member was allegedly drummer Michal Lysejko.
The same woman "was uncomfortable and said the band members began speaking to each other in Polish," the court documents obtained by The Spokesman-Review say. "She described the 'vibe' in the bus changed, and one of the members began looking at them like they were prey."
Then singer Rafal Piotrowski allegedly began kissing her and she began resisting when he started undoing her belt, according to the court documents. The woman "attempted to push Piotrowski away but he grabbed her arm and spun her around to where she was facing the sink and mirror in the bathroom. … She saw in the mirror and out of the corner of her eye each of the band members taking turns raping her."
She underwent a sexual assault examination at a hospital, where it was determined that she had "significant bruising to her upper arms consistent with being restrained" and "small abrasions to her knuckles that were scabbed over."
During the incident, the court documents say, she was "digging her fist into the wall to try and distract herself from what was happening."
Guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka told police he saw both Piotrowski and bassist Hubert Wiecek partake in sexual acts with the woman in the bathroom. Wiecek “said no one was forced to get on the bus." He then said "he did not recall what happened," court documents state.
Kieltyka was the only member of the group who agreed to let police take a DNA swab. Michal Lysejko, 27, Waclaw J. Kieltyka, 35, Rafal Piotrowski, 31, and Hubert Wiecek, 30, members of the Polish death metal band Decapitated, were taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on September 9, according to PEOPLE. They have been charged with first-degree kidnapping.
The band’s attorney Steve Graham told The Spokesman-Review that his clients "plan to fully fight the allegations that are brought against them, and we are fully confident that the other side of this story will be heard." Additionally, he said that there are"witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms."
The band has been performing in the United States as part of the “Double Homicide Tour.”
