A mother was arrested yesterday after her one-year-old daughter was found walking alone on a highway. 24-year-old Lindsey Moody of Lonoke County, Arkansas was arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor after authorities found her daughter walking alone with two dogs along State Highway 319 around 7:00am Wednesday.
According to KARK, police found the home of the girl based upon information from the dog's collar. When they arrived, they reportedly found Moody asleep and unable to be woken. They allegedly spotted a glass smoking device and meth nearby.
Moody was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree. The child has been turned over to the Department of Human Services.
Moody has her first court appearance Friday and is being held at the Lonoke County Jail on $2,500 bond.
