A Florida mom allegedly went to her daughter’s high school during dismissal, found her daughter’s rival, knocked her cell phone to the ground, and hit her several times, the Associated Press reported.
And when the teen later came to the woman’s house to get her cell phone, the woman allegedly broke the teen’s middle finger and used an ax to destroy the teen’s car.
No, this woman wasn’t Renata Klein, the villain played by Laura Dern on Big Little Lies. Police arrested Ernstlatta LaFrance, 30, for the alleged assault, and La France is now facing strong-armed robbery, child abuse, and aggravated battery charges.
LaFrance’s girlfriend, Erlisa Evans, was also charged with assault and firing a gun in public after she fired three shots in the air when the victim and LaFrance met outside LaFrance’s home.
After the incident, LaFrance posted video of the fight on Facebook and “warned those messing with her daughter to beware,” an officer wrote, according to The Miami Herald. She also allegedly warned the victim that having two black eyes wasn’t the end of her troubles, and that next time she’d use a gun.
Police said that LaFrance was moved to confront her daughter’s rival after the girls got into a fight at a nearby county fair.
