A Florida mother has been charged after authorities say she left her two kids in a hot car while she went to a bar.

According to Inside Edition, 28-year-old Larissa Rivera of Kissimmee, Florida was arrested on Sunday following a 911 call that the other was intoxicated in a bar in Orlando.

"She is drunk, the mother is drunk," the caller told the 911 operator.

Rivera's two kids were in a car outside while she was at Butikin Orlando. "I opened the driver side rear passenger door and was greeted with a little girl (approximately five years of age) crying hysterically," an officer said in an arrest report per WKMG. "She quickly calmed down once fresh air came upon her."

A boy believed to be about 3 was also in the car.

Rivera told WKMG that she left the air conditioner on and the car running. She claims that she checked on them and turned off the car because they said they were cold. Authorities say the children were sweating and hot to the touch.

Rivera was arrested and charged with two counts of leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle.
