Police released the horrifying 911 audio from a Georgia mother who investigators claim placed her two young boys in the oven and turned it on, resulting in them roasting to death, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Lamora Williams, who is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of her 1- and 2-year-old boys, can be heard in the recording telling the dispatcher that she doesn’t want to go to jail and that she is not to blame for the boys’ deaths.
In the call, placed at about 11:30 pm on Friday, Williams, 24, says that she left her three sons with a cousin who then left the children alone at an Atlanta apartment.
“This is so serious; I’m so scared,” Williams says. “I don’t want to get locked up because I was at work.”
She later repeats herself.
“This is not my fault; I just came home from work,” she says.
Police said that they did not believe that the children were left with a caregiver and that her sons, Ja’Karter and Ke’Younte, were killed intentionally by her.
The father of the two boys also called 911 and said that Williams sent him video showing her killing the young children.
“I just received a call from my child’s mother that my … two of my … two dead babies; my sons are dead in an apartment,” the father says.
“She video called me and I seen it,” he adds. “I really think they are dead.”
An autopsy of the two children is still pending, AJC previously reported. Family members claimed that Williams had struggled with mental health issues her whole life.
“I’m 10 years older than (Lamora), and I practically raised her,” said sister Tabitha Hollingsworth to the AJC. “We don’t think, we know she had mental health problems.”
