Robin Thicke Accused Of Child Abuse By Ex-Wife Paula Patton

Thicke says the accusations are bogus.

One-hit-wonder Robin Thicke became the subject of considerable inquiry after details of his nasty divorce from ex-wife Paula Patton became public. Now, Patton is coming forward with some serious claims about Thicke's child-rearing skills. She's also accusing Thicke of attacking her in front of their kid.

According to People, Patton is seeking to have the joint custody of Thicke limited after accusing him of physical abuse. “The judge denied all of Paula’s requests for custody,” said an inside source. “She wanted more custody because of her allegations of physical abuse, which are untrue and unfounded.”

Court documents obtained by People also read that Patton has “become concerned about [Robin]’s drinking and drug use, as well as the forms of punishment he is using to discipline Julian” over the past year.

Thicke's legal team responded by characterizing Patton's accusations as an attention-grabbing retaliation to other disputes between the two: “Paula did not have a positive relationship with my father and often made negative comments to me about my father,” says Thicke in the legal doc. “As such, she was not welcome at his funeral. It is my belief that Paula only wanted to attend because it would have resulted in additional public exposure for her.”

But Patton isn't backing down and is claiming that even her child's school has been involved following reports that their son is scared of his father. Patton is also noting changes in the child's behavior, including the development of a "slight stutter."

This legal dispute is ongoing.
