Following a nationwide manhunt, Tad Cummins is behind bars. According to Fox 17, the former teacher is incarcerated at Henderson County jail in Kentucky.

The 50-year-old is facing federal charges of bringing a minor across state lines for sex as well as state charges of aggravated kidnapping and sexual contact with a minor.

As reported earlier, Cummins and 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas, his former student, were found after a month-long search. The two disappeared on March 13 from Tennesee and were found in rural California.

During the disappearance, details began to surface about Cummins and Thomas' alleged romantic relationship. He had been suspended from his job at her high school due to allegations of physical contact with the teen. Another former student came forward to say she believed that Tad felt they were more than just friends.

Cummins' wife filed for divorce during the ordeal.
