Teen Sets Wrong Car On Fire Thinking It’s Her Ex-Boyfriend's

A 19-year-old Florida woman set a car on fire thinking it belonged to a former flame. It didn't.

Young love can make you do some stupid things. And when that love turns to hate, it can make you even stupider. Take the case of 19-year-old Carmen Chamblee of Clearwater, Florida, just outside of Tampa. They say "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." And whatever it was that her ex-boyfriend did to incur her wrath, it made her so mad she decided to torch his car. Unfortunately though, the car she set ablaze wasn’t his.

Police arrested Chamblee after a nearby security cam caught her setting the car on fire, feeding the flames with trash and fleeing the scene on a bicycle. Once apprehended she admitted she committed the incendiary criminal act thinking the car belonged to her former beau. She has been charged with second-degree arson. The ex-boyfriend and the actual owner of the charbroiled car were not contacted for comment.
