Less than a week after 17 people were arrested for stealing millions in jewelry from reality star Kim Kardashian as she was held hostage in a Paris bathroom, 10 people have been officially charged in connection to the crime.
On Thursday, four suspects were indicted, two of them over the age of 60. One of these suspects, Gary M., 27, is the younger brother of Kardashian's Paris chauffeur, making authorities consider the idea that this was an inside job by Kardashian's staff.
On Friday, six additional suspects were indicted, with ages ranging from 29 to 72.
Suspects have been charged with armed robbery in an organized gang, kidnapping, criminal association, illegal possession of firearms, complicity, and use of a fake identity and papers. Parisian law enforcement has not revealed the last names of the suspects.
In early October, Kardashian was bound and gagged in her Paris hotel room by masked men holding guns, who locked the mother of two in her bathtub as they stole more than $10 million in jewelry. The incident apparently traumatized Kardashian, who uncharacteristically remained out of the spotlight for months before returning to social media and public events in the past month.
