Kalik Johnson (18), Kylah Nettleton (18), and Darius Tarik Johnson (17) were arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder pertaining to the death of Dustin Khoury, 17, according to The Washington Post.
Khoury had been found severly injured in his car in the middle of the road, dying from the shooting shortly thereafter.
"He never reached adulthood, never had a chance to live life," Dustin's father, Michael Khoury, said. "I'm not too sure how it's going to go. It's just one day at a time for us."
A hunt for the killers had been aggressively pursued by police before the three teens were apprehended: "If you commit murder in Prince George's County, we have an 80 percent closure rate, so [there's a good chance] we are going to find you and lock you up," said Jennifer Donelan, a spokeswoman for Prince George's County Police Department.
“The preliminary investigation reveals the suspects and victim had agreed to meet to conduct an illegal transaction,” police said in a statement. “During that transaction, the suspects shot the victim.”
Of the three arrested, Darius Johnson will be charged as an adult. All three are currently being held without the possibility of bail. It is not currently known if the two Johnson suspects are related.
