The man accused of murdering a teenaged Black Lives Matter activist in Florida admitted that he imprisoned and sexually assaulted Oluwatoyin Salau for days before killing her, new court documents alleged.

Aaron Glee Jr. is charged with killing both Salau, 19, and Victoria Sims, 75, who were both found dead in his Tallahassee home last week.

Documents stated that Glee, 49, waived his right to remain silent and told officers he kept Salau prisoner in his run-down home for several days while raping her, and ultimately killed her in an attempt to cover up his crimes, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

"While at the hospital, Glee had made voluntary admissions to officers guarding him that he had murdered two women in Tallahassee," documents stated. "He would also place a telephone call to his mother and make these same admissions."

It was previously reported that Glee had confessed to his mother Sandra Cutliff that he had strangled Salau.

Glee first met Salau on June 6, where she told him about her experience being sexually assaulted earlier that day, authorities said. She had also shared her assault on Twitter prior to her disappearance, but police have said the assault and her killing are not believed to be linked.

"At this time, there is no indication that the original battery Salau reported is related to her death," wrote Tallahassee Police Department on Facebook. "The information and description Salau provided to police and posted on social media prior to her disappearance does not match the person ultimately found to be responsible for her murder."

Glee then offered to take Salau back to his home so she could take a shower and and sleep, and she agreed. Glee then asked Sims to pick them up and drive them back to Glee's house, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

Glee and Sims — a long time AARP volunteer — were reportedly friends, according to Glee's mother. Although the relationship between Salau and Sims was initially unclear, authorities said the two became acquainted Black Lives Matter protest.

Glee told investigators that after arriving at his house, Salau took a shower. He then tried to have sex with her, but after she said no and attempted to fight him off, he raped her, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

Glee allegedly told authorities he imprisoned Salau for about three to five days and admitted "sexually assaulting her numerous times during those three to five days," documents stated.

"Glee stated that he was aware that he would be arrested and likely sentenced to prison if he allowed (Salau) to leave the residence," the arrest report said, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. "Glee indicated that he determined that his only course of action was to end her life."

Authorities also stated Glee kidnapped Sims at some point before she was reported missing on June 11. Both Salau and Sims were found dead at Glee's home on Saturday, June 13, authorities said. Glee was later arrested in Orlando after he had allegedly fled the scene.

Glee did not speak during his first appearance in court on Saturday, where his attorney advised him not to discuss the case, the Tallahassee Democrat reported. He faces numerous felony charges, including charges of first-degree murder and second-degree murder, according to online jail records.

About 100 people attended a vigil for Salau at the University of Florida, the student newspaper reported. Salau was a community activist who had taken to the streets in recent weeks as part of the ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd.
