Family Still Searching For Missing Florida Woman Whose Car Was Found Abandoned On Railroad Tracks

Cieha Taylor's mother said the missing woman's shoes were found on a drainage pipe weeks after her car was discovered.

It’s been more than two months since a 28-year-old Florida woman’s car was found abandoned on the railroad tracks and the missing woman’s family is desperate for answers.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies discovered Cieha Taylor’s black two-door Toyota Solara parked on the railroad tracks around 7 p.m. on the evening of February 6, according to a statement from authorities.

They believe the car was left on the tracks on Trapnell Road some time after 4 p.m. that day. Taylor was last seen around that time leaving a residence after dropping off her boyfriend.

When the car was found, the engine was still running and her belongings, including her cell phone and debit card, were left inside, according to NBC News.

Her family said the 28-year-old’s shoes were also found about three weeks later on a drainage pipe near the road where her car was abandoned just outside Plant City — next to a missing persons flyer about Taylor.

Her mother, Canitha Taylor, told Dateline she believes the shoes were deliberately placed there and were not there after she initially disappeared.

“We searched in that area for weeks and never found anything,” she said. “Those shoes were the ones I gave her and I definitely would have noticed them.

A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office declined to confirm whether the shoes had been found in that location and told Oxygen.com the information released to the public was “extremely limited” because the case remained “an active investigation.”

Authorities have questioned her boyfriend, who was the last person to see her alive, according to local station WFLA.

After Cieha first disappeared, her family scoured the area but had to call off the searches after the COVID-19 outbreak.

They are still hoping to find some clues about where the missing woman has gone.

“I’m worried about her every single day,” Canitha told the news outlet. “We just want to know where she is. We want to know if she’s ok.”

Her family has said it is not like Cieha to disappear without contacting anyone.

“If you know Cieha, you know she was never without her phone,” her sister-in-law Porshia Taylor told Dateline. “She was always in contact with someone. We’re just really worried about her.”

Cieha was last seen wearing a gray, white, blue and red striped dress. She may have also had a pink sweater over the dress. She has been described as 5’6” tall and 170 pounds. She has auburn/red shoulder-length hair.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact authorities.
