Soap Opera Star Haley Pullos Arrested for Alleged DUI After Wrong-Way Collision
Both Pullos and a 23-year-old man were hospitalized following the April 29 collision on a busy Los Angeles freeway.
A soap opera star was arrested for driving under the influence after allegedly causing a wrong-way collision on a Los Angeles highway in April.
Actress Haley Pullos, 24, was arrested on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence and driving the wrong way, causing injury, according to a California Highway Patrol (CHP) statement obtained by Oxygen.com. The charges stemmed from a car crash that occurred in Pasadena, California around 1:30 a.m. on April 29.
On the same day of the incident, the CHP shared photos of a wrong-way collision that took place on the 134 Freeway at the Orange Grove exit. "Arriving units found two vehicles involved, with one person trapped, after a reported head-on collision. Fire personnel extricated one person from a vehicle and provided patient care and hospital transport for the occupants of both vehicles," the post read.
Pullos had to be removed from her 2019 Ford by the jaws of life before being taken to the hospital, the CHP said. Both she and the other driver, a 23-year-old man, sustained major injuries.
The CHP statement also noted that Pullos was allegedly involved in a separate hit-and-run crash prior to getting on the freeway. The driver, a 27-year-old woman, was not seriously injured, according to a police report obtained by the Daily Mail.
Anyone with information about the freeway crash is urged to call the CHP's Altadena office at (626) 296-8100. After hours, tipsters may contact the Los Angeles Communication Center at (323) 259-3200.
Pullos has since announced that she will be taking a break from playing Molly Lansing-Davis in General Hospital, a role she's held since 2009. "Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I'm doing okay, but I am going to need a little time to recover. I will be back as soon as possible!," she told Soap Opera Digest, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The Daily Mail reported that Pullos is now seeking treatment at a luxury rehabilitation center in Malibu, California.
In addition to acting, Pullos cohosts the true-crime podcast Criminally Insane with Dylan Keenan. Prior to her arrest, she regularly promoted the series on her TikTok with brief explainers on criminals such as drug lord Pablo Escobar, Toy Box Killer David Parker Ray, and serial killer John Wayne Gacy.
