Florida Woman Allegedly Rapes Teen Next To Sleeping 12-Year-Old

A 44-year-old Florida woman is accused of drunkenly crashing a children’s birthday party, where she proceeded to rape a teenager while a 12-year-old slept just a foot away.

Detectives were dispatched to a high school on May 11th after a student told a staff member that they were raped over the weekend, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office stated in a press release.

The victim told investigators that they were attending a sleepover birthday party when Jessica Good and another woman crashed it around 2 am. Good was allegedly drunk and the teen victim claimed she was “making extremely inappropriate sexual comments and providing the 17-year-old victim with alcohol,” according to investigators.

Good then allegedly raped the teen while “a 12-year-old was asleep on a bean bag chair just a foot from” them, according to the press release. That 12-year-old allegedly woke up after hearing “noises” and “noticed the two actively engaged in intercourse.”

Detectives approached Good at her workplace on May 11th and asked to speak to her. That conversation led to her arrest. She has been charged with two counts of child abuse and two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

The sheriff’s department noted that “in Florida, it is illegal for an adult (someone 18 or older) to have sex with a minor (someone younger than 18), even if the sex is consensual (certain exemptions exist).”

Good has been booked on a $150K bond. It’s unclear if she has a lawyer. She is due back in court on June 21st.

It’s not clear what Good’s relationship is to the child or how she knows them.
