Basketball Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Son Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing Neighbor Multiple Times

Adam Abdul-Jabbar has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon after authorities say he stabbed his neighbor, leaving the man with "multiple non-life threatening injuries."

Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s son has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his neighbor multiple times.

Adam Abdul-Jabbar, 27, is now facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon after authorities said he stabbed a neighbor Tuesday night in San Clemente, California, according to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department obtained by Oxygen.com.

Deputies were called to a San Clemente residence around 10 p.m. Tuesday night after receiving a call about a stabbing. Authorities say the victim suffered “multiple non-life threatening injuries” and transported himself to the hospital.

Adam, who had appeared on a 2017 episode of “Celebrity Family Feud” alongside his famous father, was taken into custody without incident.

The sheriff’s department declined to release further details of the alleged crime or Adam’s booking photo.

Adam, who stands at 6’7” tall and weighs 180 pounds, has already been released from custody, according to TMZ.

During his two-decade long career, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA championships and received a Most Valuable Player Award six times, according to The Bleacher Report. He played with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers before retiring in 1989.

He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016 for his efforts in social justice and recently made headlines again after penning an opinion piece for The Los Angeles Times on George Floyd’s death.

Kareem has yet to speak out about the charges facing his son. His representative hung up when contacted about the arrest by TMZ.
