A Mexican man allegedly beat three of his children to death in a “revenge” plot against his wife following a heated domestic dispute over the weekend, officials said.

The accused father, identified only as "Luis Alfredo 'N,'" murdered his three sons on Saturday in the central state of Hidalgo, Mexican authorities said. The dead include 3, 7, and 8-year-old boys.

The domestic attack was fueled by “revenge” stemming from an argument the couple previously had, according to prosecutors. The man’s intent was to cause the children’s mother “great pain.”

“After the discussion with his wife and when she was not in the home, Luis Alfredo ‘N’ reportedly deprived his three underage children of life in a cruel way,” Sonora and Hidalgo prosecutors said in a joint statement.

The man later confessed to his father to killing the three boys and fleeing the family home afterward. The man’s father later tipped off law enforcement to the murders.

Mexican authorities apprehended the man on Jan. 2 in Hermosillo, Mexico. The accused child killer was later charged with three counts of manslaughter, law enforcement said.

“This shows that collaboration is fruitful, as it prevented the likely perpetrator from evading justice and from getting away with such a heinous crime,” prosecutors added.

Prior to the triple murder, “Luis Alfredo N’” reportedly uploaded numerous photographs of his children to Facebook, regional newspaper Diario de Yucatán reported on Sunday.

“The best of my life!!” he wrote in one caption.
