Man Allegedly Killed Two Women He Was Romantically Linked To In 'Coldblooded' Attack

A Pennsylvania man is accused of murdering his two women — one whom he allegedly told a friend was pregnant with his child, and the mother of his toddler.

Mamadou Kallie, 23, of Coatesville — which is 45 minutes west of Philadelphia — has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, the murder of an unborn child, carjacking, fleeing and eluding, endangering the welfare of a child and other related charges, according to a press release from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

Investigators allege that he killed Tiara Rodriguez-Diaz, 20, and a friend, Kimberly Ortiz-Zayas, 21, on Sunday evening, the Daily Local reports.

The Coatesville Police had “responded to a domestic dispute” between Rodriguez-Diaz and Kallie earlier that night while the two were visiting friends. When police arrived, Rodriguez-Diaz was in her car with her 22-month-old child, whose father is Kallie, according to NBC Philadelphia. Cops spoke with both Rodriguez-Diaz and Kallie before “the scene was cleared,” after which an agitated Kallie left in a black Ford SUV by himself.

But just half an hour after Coatesville police cleared the scene, the nearby Valley Township Police responded to a report of shots fired and a vehicle collision involving Rodriguez-Diaz's car.

“There they found two females with multiple gunshot wounds and a 22-month-old child in the backseat,” the press release states.

Ortiz-Zayas, the passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriquez-Diaz was transferred to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. The 22-month-old child of Rodriquez-Diaz and Kallie was reportedly uninjured.

“Valley Township experienced a horrific double murder on a holiday weekend when family and friends were supposed to enjoy summer’s unofficial start. Instead, two young women and an unborn child are dead," Valley Township Police Chief Glenn Eckman said in a statement.

Investigators say that, after the murders, Kallie drove to the nearby home of a childhood friend, Eduardo Alpizar-Ortiz, and ordered Alpizar-Ortiz at gunpoint to drive him around, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. According to NBC Philadelphia, Kallie demanded a change of clothes and told his friend they were going to Philadelphia, but instead ordered him out of the car at gunpoint near West Bradford Township.

Alpizar-Ortiz told investigators that Kallie confessed that he killed a pregnant woman he was dating, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Ortiz-Zayas' autopsy confirmed she was five months pregnant.

Kallie was arrested in Alpizar-Ortiz's car in nearby West Caln Township shortly after a brief standoff in which he allegedly pointed a gun at himself before ultimately surrendering to police.

Kallie is being held without bail. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer representing him in this case. Attorney Melissa Berlot McCafferty, who represented him in the past, told Oxygen.com via phone on Wednesday that she is "shocked by the news."

She said that, when she represented him on prior charges, he was a "very nice young man" who comes from "a very nice family."

In 2020, Kallie was charged with simple assault and making terroristic threats. In 2019 and 2020, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and vehicle related offenses.

According to NBC Philadelphia, he was on probation at the time of the murders for assaulting one of the two women who he's now charged with killing.

“These senseless and tragic murders of two women and an unborn child should outrage everyone,” Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan stated. “Domestic violence continues to plague our communities and our homes and its ripple effect has life-altering consequences for too many people. We will do everything in our power to hold Mamadou Kallie accountable for these premeditated, intentional and cold-blooded murders.”

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office told Oxygen.com by email on Thursday that they cannot provide additional information about the case.
