A Florida man suspected of killing Instagram star Miss Mercedes Morr allegedly left rambling messages written on her walls in lipstick or pen professing his love and confessing to the killing, according to her parents.

Mark Gagnier spoke to local station KTRK-TV about the horrific moment he discovered his daughter—whose real name is Jenae Gagnier—dead at the bottom of the staircase of her apartment.

Mark had gone to the social media star’s home on Sunday after the family was concerned that they hadn’t been able to reach her all weekend.

“I know my daughter and when I got to my daughter’s house and it was locked up and she’s not answering my phone call, which is not like her, I knew something was up. So, I didn’t hesitate to kick the door down,” he told the news outlet. “What I saw, I wouldn’t want any parent to go through.”

Mark found his daughter’s body at bottom of the stairs and initially believed she may have died in an accident, but then discovered accused killer 34-year-old Kevin Accorto upstairs with a knife in his neck.

“He was twitching, he was gurgling,” Mark recalled. “I could look in the room and there’s writings all over the walls.”

Mark said he found messages scrawled all over the walls in either lipstick or pen, allegedly confessing to the crime and professing his love for the social media star.

Her family believes that Accorto had been an obsessed fan of Jenae’s who somehow tracked her to her home.

“I don’t know how he found her and I don’t know how all this happened,” Mark said, adding that he often tried to warn his daughter that her popularity could attract some crazy and obsessed followers.

Richmond Police have yet to reveal a possible motive in what they have described as a murder-suicide.

Lt. Lowell D. Neinast, a public information officer for the police department, told Oxygen.com on Friday that police were still “in the process of trying to confirm” the connection between the two.

Police have said they do not believe the two had known each other before the slaying, according to a statement from police obtained by Oxygen.com.

The Fort Bend County Medical Examiner determined that Jenae, 33, died from strangulation and traumatic concussion, according to The Associated Press.

Accorto killed himself from “multiple sharp force trauma,” according to the medical examiner.

Jenae had amassed 2.7 million followers on Instagram under the name Miss Mercedes Morr, and was also a popular OnlyFans model.

Mark said the popularity of his daughter’s photos had always put him on edge.

“It scared the hell out of me,” he said. “My daughter was beautiful. That scared the hell out of me. And she kept trying to get more and more beautiful, she worked on it hard. That scared the hell out of me.”

Jenae’s mom, Jeaneta Grover, told KTRK-TV that the family is still struggling with the tremendous loss.

“She was so famous in her world, and so loved in ours,” she said.
