Kyle Rittenhouse was accused of killing two people and injuring another during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2020.

The jury at Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial could not come to any decisions yet after a full day of deliberations.  

While the prosecutor argued that Kyle Rittenhouse was an inexperienced "wannabe" soldier who instigated the violence, his defense attorneys insisted the teen had acted in self-defense because he was being attacked. 

Prosecutors and defense attorneys in Rittenhouse trial made their closing arguments on Monday. The jury will begin deliberations on Tuesday. 

A gun charge was dismissed against Kyle Rittenhouse, who nonetheless still faces more serious charges for the shootings of Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz.

Kyle Rittenhouse, 18, is on trial for the murders of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and the wounding of Gaige Grosskreutz in August of 2020.
