A Texas man was taken into custody on Wednesday following allegations that he raped a female employee at a strip club after asking her for a private dance.

Zachary Lee Johnson, a 28-year-old Richardson resident, was arrested and booked Wednesday into the Taylor County jail on one count of sexual assault, The Dallas Morning News reports.

Police received a call early that morning reporting an alleged sexual assault at Cloud 9, an adult club in Abilene, according to a police report obtained by the Abilene Reporter News. Johnson is alleged to have asked an employee for a private dance at around 1:40 a.m.; once they were in a private room together, he allegedly pushed her against a wall and raped her repeatedly before she was eventually able to get him off of her and flee the room, the paper reports.

Abilene police were able to identify Johnson as the suspect because he gave his phone number to a different employee at the club, according to the paper. When authorities called the number, Johnson answered, and he was later arrested at a nearby store.

Johnson was released from custody on Wednesday after posting $30,000 bond, according to The Dallas Morning News. Court records show that he has no prior criminal history, and an attorney representing him in this case has not been listed, the paper reports.

Local outlets KTAB and KRBC have requested comment from the owner of the Cloud Nine club, but they have yet to respond.

Authorities are still investigating, according to WHDH.
