Ashton Kutcher Allegedly Hit A Teen With His Car By Accident, But Settled It By Taking Pics With Him

All’s well that ends well, right? For Ashton Kutcher, a small accident resulted in a brief photo op rather than a lawsuit.

By Sharon Lynn Pruitt

Ashton Kutcher allegedly hit a fan with his car on Tuesday but, luckily, no one was seriously injured, and the teenager even got a couple of great photos and a story out of it.

Leo Marenghi, 19, told E! News that he was riding a child’s scooter to pick up kids he babysits from a school in Los Angeles when Kutcher backed his black Tesla out of a driveway and struck him. A nearby wall obscured him from Kutcher’s view, Marenghi said, and by the time Kutcher, 40, saw him, “it was too late for him to stop and I got hit.”

According to Marenghi, Kutcher jumped out of his car and was immediately concerned, apologizing profusely. When Marenghi responded that he was fine and asked about the state of Kutcher’s car instead, the actor reportedly replied that he was “not even worried about that,” and again asked if Marenghi was okay.

Marenghi told People that the actor was “really nice about it and acted concerned.”

“He asked me if I was okay and I said, ‘Yeah, I’m fine. Can I get a picture with you?'” he said.

Kutcher agreed, and posed for two photos with Marenghi, who then posted the photos, and shared his stranger-than-fiction story, on his Instagram page.

“Got hit by a car today... But it’s ok because it was by Ashton Kutcher,” he wrote in the caption.

Marenghi was sporting a cut on his knee after the accident, as seen in his Instagram post, and told People that although he “woke up feeling worse” the next day, he’s “still alright.” He does not have any plans to pursue charges against Kutcher over the incident, telling People, “I don’t intend to go after him [legally].”

“I feel like it was kind of my fault because I was on a scooter and it was hard to see me,” he said. “I just feel like that would be trashy.”

Kutcher has yet to publicly comment on the accident.
