A mother in Missouri allegedly allowed her 2-year-old daughter to be raped by two men while she watched, according to police.

Azzie C. Watson, 25, of Independence, faces numerous charges related to child abuse and drugs, but it's the alleged sex abuse that’s the most troubling, according to the Kansas City Star.

Watson was living at a motorcycle shop with her boyfriend Charles D. Green and her two children, police said. On June 29, she was arrested for failing to appear in court on felony drug distribution charges, and her children were put into protective custody. Green was also put in custody on charges from a different case.

The alleged abuse came to light when a foster parent tried to change the 2-year-old's diaper, and the girl cried out in pain.

“Daddy hurt me,” she cried, according to police. “Daddy, stop being mean. Daddy, it hurts.”

The children were taken to a local hospital and examined. In addition to the girl’s sexual abuse, they both had metal objects embedded in their feet, allegedly from walking around the motorcycle shop.

When police interviewed Green, he provided them with a recording of Watson admitting she allowed men to rape her daughter.

In the recording, police said, Watson admitted to bringing the girl to a house in East Kansas, where Watson said she was having sex with men and doing drugs.

In the recording, she said she watched two men rape her daughter, and that she returned to the house at least 10 times. She also said she was embarrassed about going back and she knew it "was bad and so wrong," according to police. She said she was a coward for not doing anything.

On July 10, police interviewed Watson in jail about the recording. She told police she lied on the tape. She told them she said those things because she felt threatened by Green, and “because he wasn’t believing the truth,” the investigator’s statement said, according to the Kansas City Star.

Police told Watson her daughter had a sexually transmitted disease and meth in her system. Watson said she didn't know how it was possible for her daughter to contract an STD, according to WDAF-TV in Kansas City. She did admit to the meth use, police said.

The foster parent who took Watson's kids said she could tell the children were afraid, but they never asked for their mother, police said, something the parent had never seen before.

Police said they will continue to investigate, but have yet to bring sexual abuse charges in the case. Watson was charged with abuse and endangerment of the children, and is in jail on a $20,000 bond. Green was charged two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for possessing methamphetamine in the presence of children, the Star reported.
