Cardi B is fighting back after her boyfriend's phone was hacked. According to TMZ, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper is taking legal action at whoever got into the phone of her boyfriend, rapper Offset, and leaked explicit images, including a nude of her.
Cardi's attorney, Scott Mason, tells the site that the explicit visuals were released over the holidays. The visuals were illegally obtained, and a full investigation by her camp is underway.
The "Love & Hip Hop" reality star and former stripper says that the nudes themselves are not what bother her. She has been very open and empowered about owning her sexuality in her music and public image.
"People keep posting the nude videos of me like if i wasn’t a stripper before. You know there’s videos of me stripping with my titties & ass out on YouTube already right? anyways i know i know i got a nice body right," she tweeted.
In addition to Cardi's nude images, the hack also brought to light video of another woman. Several fans saw what appeared to be naked footage of Offset's other lady. Rumors of a split between Cardi and the Migos rapper surfaced. Both quelled the breakup rumors by posting an Instagram Live feed of what appeared to be them having sex. Complex reported it was all “a joke.”
As Rolling Stone shared, Cardi B and Offset met in New York City in February.
"We polish each other," she said about their burgeoning rap careers. "I could always ask him, 'Do you think this is OK to do? Do you think I'm getting tricked?'"
She also revealed that she wants marriage and kids someday.
"I need to make money for my family and my future family," she said. "I'm not a YOLO person. I think 25 years from now. I think about my future kids, future husband, future house."
Following their public engagement at a concert in late October, Cardi took to Instagram to share her love for her man.
"OK guys I know I keep posting about this day but I just can’t believe it.I keep replaying it in my head.I keep smiling every minute.I should have known something was up since this n*gga keep telling me to go get my nails done. Like since when you cared about my nails. I love you and I love how you managed to get my mom to come out and witness my engagement.Im the happiest girl in the world. @offsetyrn you a true King."
