A 51-year-old North Carolina man is accused of engaging in a mall fight amongst children, pushing multiple young teens and even knocking out an 11-year-old girl.

“On Saturday evening a fight involving juveniles occurred at the Asheville Mall," Christina Hallingse, a public information officer for the Asheville Police Department told Oxygen.com. “During the course of the fight David Steven Bell of Black Mountain, pushed a juvenile, as well as struck her.”

An off-duty officer arrested Bell at the mall. He was charged with one count on assault on a female under 12 for the 11-year-old girl and and two counts of assault on a female for allegedly pushing two 13-year-old girls, according to arrest warrants obtained by the Asheville Citizen Times.

“All victims refused transport to the hospital at the time of the incident,” Hallingse told Oxygen.com.

The fight, which appeared to have taken place right outside the mall, was recorded via cell phone and circulated online.

It appears to show Bell, who reportedly stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 250 pounds, forcing his way into the middle of the fight, only to become the focal point of it. A girl appears to push him and he is seen pushing her back. She charges at him, only to be knocked out cold from a punch, prompting screams from the surrounding crowd.

Bell is due in court Feb. 5. It is unclear if he has an attorney who can speak on his behalf at this time.

The Asheville Mall responded to the now-viral video and stated in a Facebook post, “We are aware of the videos circulating on social media. The Asheville Police Department responded immediately and the situation was diffused.”
