A Florida man is facing false imprisonment and battery charges after allegedly trying to kidnap two different women on two different occasions, all in one night.

Alexander Manzano, 31, was taken into custody on Friday night on kidnapping and aggravated assault charges and remains in custody, jail records show. Manzano was arrested soon after allegedly trying to kidnap a woman off a street in Immokalee, just hours after he is alleged to have attempted to abduct a different woman at a different location, according to an arrest report obtained by Oxygen.com.

A woman in her 30s told police that she was walking outside on Friday night when a man she later identified as Manzano pulled up behind her in a white pickup truck, got out of the car, and approached her from behind. She said that the man grabbed her in a chokehold and tried to force her into his truck and, when she resisted, punched and choked her. She claimed Manzano’s efforts were allegedly thwarted when another driver saw what was happening and got out of their car to help the woman, at which point Manzano headed back into his truck and fled the scene, according to authorities. Police responded to the scene after receiving a call that a woman had been screaming that someone tried to kidnap her.

Police later identified Manzano during a traffic stop and he was arrested for false imprisonment and battery, the report states. He has also been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, online records show.

Manzano was also linked to an incident that occurred earlier that same night, according to arrest reports obtained by Oxygen.com. Police reported receiving a call about a naked woman who ran to a stranger’s home for help after an alleged kidnapping attempt. A 51-year-old woman told authorities that she’d gotten a flat tire on her bike when a man in a white truck approached her, offering to give her a ride to the gas station to get air for her bike tire. She agreed, and after she was able to fix her tire, the man offered her a ride home, according to police. When she got into his car, however, he drove her to a cemetery, told her he "wanted sex," and forced her at knifepoint to take off her clothes.

The woman told police that she could not get out of the vehicle herself because the passenger side door handle was broken. She said that she asked at least 50 times to be let out of the vehicle during the ride, and was eventually able to escape by putting her hand out of the window and opening the door from the outside.

Both women identified Manzano as the man who assaulted them, and police later found a knife on the driver's side of the car, according to arrest reports.

Manzano denied the allegations against him during an interview with police, the report states.

Manzano is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28, online jail records show. He has previously been arrested for trespassing, theft, aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving with a suspended license.
