A dead body  has been found at the home of Janoris Jenkins, a New York Giants cornerback.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office has identified the body as that of music producer Roosevelt Rene, 25, a family friend of the football player who had been living at the New Jersey home.

Rene produced music under the name Trypps Beatz.

Police are investigating the cause of death. The NFL Network's Mike Garafolo has reported it could be a possible strangulation or suffocation, according to NBC Sports.

Jenkins was in Florida when the body was discovered Tuesday morning. He's reportedly been in Florida for the last two weeks after completing a Giants minicamp, according to ESPN. The Giants have said they are aware of the situation.

Sgt. Brian Metzler, of the Fair Lawn police, has declined to give any specifics about the investigation.
