Kim Cattrall's brother has been found dead in Canada. As CNN reports, Christopher Cattrall was found dead just 24 hours after the veteran actress asked fans to help her locate her missing sibling on social media.

Yesterday, she took to Twitter to share the news about her brother's death. "It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall. At this time we ask for privacy. We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time."

According to Corporal Chris Warren, media relations representative with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, officers found the 55-year-old Christopher Cattrall, 55 on his property in Blackfalds, Alberta. Warren said that no cause of death is known but it did not appear to be suspicious. The statement shared, "Preliminary information indicates that his death is not being considered suspicious."

In her original social media post, the Sex and the City actress said that her brother's disappearance was strange. His keys, cell phone and wallet were left on the table and he had not been seen since Thursday. "This is not like Chris," she wrote. "He he would never leave his unlocked home without those items nor his 7 beloved dogs." His front door was unlocked. "He’s a one of a kind brother. Help us bring him home safe."
Cattrall has been in the news recently, putting an end to rumors of a Sex and the City reunion. She said that she got a call to do a third movie in the series and turned it down. “The answer was simply, ‘Thank you, but no, I’m good.'” She said that she's aware of the negative press she's received for being the only star (of the four leading ladies) to turn down the movie.“It’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no,’ that I’m demanding or a diva,” she said. “And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City, and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, in that I think she could have been nicer.”
