A manager of a Little Caesars restaurant in Shelbyville, Indiana, along with her boyfriend, are accused of not only using heroin in the pizza shop, but also of preparing food with open sores.

Someone tipped off local police that Sasha Fletcher, who has hepatitis C, was preparing food with open sores, Fox59 reported. On Tuesday, police showed up to the restaurant to assess the situation. While there, officers watched Fletcher’s boyfriend Joshua Parson — who doesn't even work at the restaurant — make a pizza barehanded, according to a police report.

Police said that both Fletcher and Parson appeared to be on heroin. According to Fox News, Fletcher later allegedly admitted that she was. A drug-sniffing dog was brought on the premises. That K9 allegedly found syringes and spoons with residue that “appeared to be heroin” in the couple’s car.

Both have been arrested on possession charges. It is unclear if the couple has a lawyer who can speak on their behalf.

Fletcher has since been fired. Robert Lewis, the county health commissioner, has stated that the restaurant will subsequently be thoroughly cleaned. The restaurant has closed down temporarily as a result of the findings, WIBC reported.
“Mr. Lewis has been checking today with local health officials on the potential for a contagious outbreak,” Prosecuting Attorney Brad Landwerlen said on Wednesday.
