Olivia Nova Is Third Adult Film Star To Die Suddenly Within A Month

A string of deaths has hit the porn industry. On January 7, it was reported that 20-year-old Olivia Nova (real name Lexi Rose Forte) had passed away of unknown causes. According to The Mercury News, this is the third death within a month to affect the adult entertainment industry.
Nova was a native of Minnesota and a newcomer to the industry. She had worked in the porn industry since March. Prior to that, she began her career as a model at the age of 12. She was found dead in Las Vegas with no cause of death released. LA Direct Models, an agency Olivia reportedly worked with for a short time, released a statement on her passing this week, XBiz reports. "While only represented by Direct Models for a short period of time, we came to know Olivia as a beautiful girl with a very sweet and gentle personality," it reads. Her family and friends launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover her funeral expenses.
In December, established porn actress August Ames was found dead of a suicide. The 23-year-old was criticized online for a tweet in which she said she wouldn’t do a porn scene with a man who had shot gay porn for her “safety,” Fox News reported. She died due to asphyxiation by hanging. “She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me,” said her husband, Kevin Moore, to porn trade magazine Adult Video News (AVN). “Please leave this as a private family matter in this difficult time.”
Just days after Ames death, Yurizan Beltran died of a reported drug overdose in Los Angeles. According to reports, the 31-year-old was found in bed with pills nearby. "The entire PornStar Platinum family is in mourning at the news of the loss of one of its family members," said Dan Hogue, director of business development, to XBIZ.net.
As authorities piece together the cause of Nova's death, information about her personal life has surfaced. According to the Metro, her boyfriend took his own life months before her death. Nova shared a message to her boyfriend following the incident: "Rest in peace love. It seems like we were cuddling in bed all day with the puppy eating pizza and watching movies yesterday. I’m not ready to say goodbye to you yet."
