A 37-year-old Dallas-area man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison after impregnating an 11-year-old girl.

Roli Lopez-Sanchez of Plano was found guilty last week of the continuous sexual abuse of a child last week and will not be eligible for parole, Collin County prosecutors said in a statement Friday.

In February 2018, “medical professionals notified police of an 11-year-old child who presented to their office 19 weeks pregnant,” prosecutors wrote. “The child disclosed that Lopez-Sanchez sexually assaulted her. At the time of the offense, Lopez-Sanchez had ongoing access to the child.”

The child was forensically interviewed by by the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County.

During that interview, she revealed she'd been sexually abused by Lopez-Sanchez. As a result, she and her siblings were removed from the home by Child Protective Services. It’s not immediately clear what Lopez-Sanchez’ relationship was to the victim. The victim has not been identified.

The victim gave birth that summer at the age of 12.

Plano Police obtained DNA samples of the baby which “confirmed Lopez-Sanchez as the father of the victim’s baby.”

In addition to not being eligible for parole, Lopez-Sanchez also won't receive any good time credit. He has been jailed since his February 2018 arrest, according to the Associated Press. Initially, he also faced a federal immigration detainer.

“This innocent child showed remarkable courage by naming the monster who assaulted her; he will never harm another child again,”  Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said in a statement.

The baby’s health and whereabouts are not immediately clear.
